The client already used coaching suppliers, but had found no one it was confident could address a key strategic need: building a strong pipeline of leadership and specialist talent by identifying, developing and retaining people with the potential to shape and deliver the business strategy. Acuity Coaching came recommended, winning an initial one-to-one assignment with the Chairman and CEO of a regional business - and the success of that first project led directly to designing the client’s first Maximising Your Potential pilot for senior leaders moving towards, or transitioning into, executive roles.

MYP is built for a senior audience: raising personal awareness, enabling proactive self-management of careers, and identifying key strengths and development needs. Each participant undertakes an individually tailored diagnostic including 360 feedback, three 90-minute coaching sessions, and line manager and HR calls at the beginning and end of the programme - producing a detailed Personal Development Plan within a compact 12-week design. Evaluation is built in from the start, and the line manager joins the final session, so coaching capability transfers into the business rather than staying with the supplier.

Participants reported greater self-awareness, clearer career direction, better time management and delegation, and improved working relationships - with several promoted or moving into larger roles, including cross-territory moves within the business. The client extended the programme to its global operations: 12 MYP programmes delivered to 120 participants across 17 countries, from the UK and US to Latin America, continental Europe, Scandinavia and South Africa. And the relationship has kept growing - Acuity Coaching now also supplies maternity coaching, executive coaching, facilitation, workshops, training and mediation: a full managed service that began with a single assignment.
